Notice re Footbridge from Coiste Forbartha na Carraige

Regrettably and contrary to the press releases on Facebook we are not in a position to move forward with the footbridge project. The terms of the Letter of Offer would require everything to be in place for the first week of December. In the present uncertain environment we could not guarantee the work would be done in time. This could have raised liability issues as we along with the contractors ( who have been very patient with the funding process) could be caught with much of the work done but funding expired. We did apply for an extension but this was not possible.

We currently have two other funding applications live with less stringent deadlines and we hope to be able to make a positive announcement before the end of the year.
